The latest release of Digital Ordnance's Frame Thrower™ sets new standards in real-time 2k playback for film, HDTV,
and other entertainment. First released in 2003, Frame Thrower™ streamlines the lengthy production process
associated with creating the digital special effects that form the backbone of today's films and video games.
Currently, Frame Thrower is available in two models. The FT2 is designed to be connected to CRT or LCD
computer monitors. Using RGB or DVI connection the FT2 provides resolutions up to 2560 x 1600.
The FT2 HD-SDI provides HD-SDI output for use with broadcast monitors and projectors. This version provides dual link
4:4:4 at up to 2048 by 1080.
Both support real-time uncompressed playback 2048 x 1556 images at 24fps, 1920 x 1080 images at 30fps, or 1280x720 images at 60fps.
